If you’ve ever visited QK Dogs, you know it’s a special place—calm, structured, and full of life. But what you might not know is how it all began. As someone who works here and sees the impact every day, I can tell you firsthand: QK Dogs was built on a deep passion for dogs and an unwavering commitment to doing things the right way. Our story starts with one woman’s vision, and it’s been growing ever since—one dog, one relationship, one success at a time.
The Beginning of QK Dogs

Jennifer Broome, our founder and the heart behind QK Dogs, started this place because she saw something missing. There were dog care facilities out there, sure—but very few that truly put the dog’s well-being at the center of everything. Jennifer had a unique vision: create a safe, peaceful, and structured environment where dogs could not only be cared for, but truly thrive.
From day one, QK wasn’t designed to be like the other kennels. Jennifer knew that dogs don’t all fit into one mold. That’s why she built a program around individualized attention—custom training, personal care, and a clear sense of calm leadership. It wasn’t about warehousing dogs or just getting through the day. It was about connection, growth, and respect for each dog as a unique being.
Our Vision and Mission
We talk a lot around here about helping dogs live fuller lives—and helping owners feel confident, calm, and supported. That’s the heart of our mission. Jennifer’s original vision still guides us:
Dogs deserve to thrive in a structured, nurturing environment.
Training should be clear, fair, and consistent.
Every dog learns best when they feel safe, understood, and connected.
What makes our work meaningful is the belief that training isn’t just about obedience—it’s about building a relationship based on trust. Every dog is different. Every journey is personal. That’s what we show up for, every single day.

Growth and Development
I’ve been fortunate to witness the evolution of QK Dogs firsthand. What began as a small, hands-on operation has steadily grown into something bigger—without losing what made it special. As more dog owners discovered our approach, demand naturally increased. But we never expanded just for the sake of growing. Each new service, each new staff member, each new building—everything has been intentional and focused on maintaining the same high standards of care.
Today, we offer everything from Companion Training to Hunting Dog Training, Boarding, and Grooming. Our Fitness programs help dogs stay physically active and healthy, while Vita Plena and Senior Dog Care provide enrichment and support for dogs in every stage of life. But at the core, it’s always the same: thoughtful leadership, personalized care, and a deep respect for the dog-human bond.
Conclusion
QK Dogs isn’t just a facility—it’s a team of passionate professionals working together to make life better for dogs and their people. Jennifer’s original dream planted the seed, but it’s the culture she built that continues to grow. As someone lucky enough to be part of that journey, I can say without a doubt: there’s nothing else quite like it.
When people ask what makes QK different, the answer is simple—we care deeply, we lead with calm purpose, and we believe every dog deserves the chance to become their best self. That’s what started this journey. And that’s what still drives us today.
