Store chews in a cool, dry place. Our dried/dehydrated products are free from preservatives and pesticides, so while it’s uncommon, added moisture can invite mold or insects.

After each chewing session, avoid sealing chews in plastic or airtight containers—trapped moisture is the main culprit for spoilage. Instead, allow the chew to air dry completely before putting it away.

For everyday storage, a clean, food-safe paper bag works beautifully. It allows gentle airflow to keep the chew dry while preventing odors or excess oils from building up.

For longer freshness, the freezer is an excellent option. It helps maintain quality and keeps curious pests at bay, ensuring every chew stays clean, safe, and ready for your dog’s next session.

Limit chewing to 15–20 minutes of focused engagement. Controlled sessions of back-of-the-jaw gnawing release calming endorphins, creating the perfect balance of fulfillment and relaxation. Remove and store the chew after each session, then reintroduce it during the next rest period to reinforce calm behavior.

Always supervise your dog during chew sessions, especially when introducing a new product. For chews that contain naturally dehydrated bone, ensure your dog has the jaw strength and patience to crush the bone safely before swallowing.

If you ever notice sharp edges or overly aggressive chewing behavior, remove the chew immediately. Controlled, mindful chewing is what transforms a simple treat into a safe, enriching experience that supports both health and calm behavior.
