For nearly 30 years, Jennifer Broome has lived and worked with sporting dogs — training them, breeding them, hunting over them, competing with them, studying them, and learning from them.

One thing she knows with absolute certainty is this:

The foundation is everything.

Whether you own a young prospect, a seasoned retriever, spaniel, or pointing dog, or you are just beginning your journey into the sporting dog lifestyle, this clinic is designed to help you become a better handler, a better dog owner, and a more knowledgeable partner to the dog standing beside you.

This will not be a casual “watch and listen” seminar. This is 16+ hours of education, hands-on learning, discussion, demonstration, and handler development built around the skills and understanding every sporting dog owner should have.

We will cover foundation work, field handling concepts, canine communication, steadiness, control, exposure, confidence-building, and the mindset required to bring out the best in a gun dog.

And because a true sporting dog is not built on training alone, we will also take deep dives into canine husbandry, conditioning, fitness, nail care, wellness, recovery, and the daily choices that help our dogs live stronger, healthier, more capable lives.

This clinic is about more than commands.

  • It is about understanding the dog.
  • It is about respecting the tradition.
  • It is about developing better handlers.
  • It is about honoring the sporting way of life.

The value of this weekend is tremendous. For $400, participants receive two full days of instruction, over 16 hours of content, hands-on learning, and access to decades of experience in training, handling, breeding, hunting, and caring for sporting dogs.

We are also incredibly grateful to our industry-leading sponsors who are helping make this event even more special. Each participant will receive a sponsor goody bag including:

  • An OnX Premium one-year membership
  • Purina Pro Plan dog food
  • A 25% off coupon for Dakota 283 Kennels
  • And more

We will also be hosting a raffle to raise money for the Groton Sportsmen’s Club habitat program, with over $2,000 in donated sporting dog and outdoor items from trusted brands in the industry.

Raffle items include:

A Garmin Pro 550 Plus GPS collar
A Dakota 283 Kennel
And additional sporting dog gear from our generous sponsors

This is more than a seminar.

It is a gathering of people who care deeply about dogs, wildlife, conservation, habitat, hunting tradition, and the lifelong pursuit of doing better by the dogs we love.

If you have a sporting dog — or dream of having one — this weekend is for you.

  • Come learn.
  • Come ask questions.
  • Come build your foundation.
  • Come be part of a community that respects the dog, the land, and the tradition.

Spots are limited, and this seminar is designed to give every participant a meaningful learning experience.
